Kids off to camp - end of term

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Buy nowEnd of term is now upon us.  Parents across the land are, mostly, running around trying to organize activities for their kids to keep them happy and rested over the summer break.  So there will be plenty of summer camps, swimming galas, outbound activity centers, horse-riding days.

So, with the school clothes packed away the diligent parent needs to consider labeling up the summer clothes that they want to come back with the children.

Back to School - Keep 'em Tagged

Back to School - Keep 'em Tagged

Children have returned to school for their Spring term. Taking advantage of the sales perhaps you have stocked up on new school uniforms, or maybe the kids are armed with a handful of Christmas gift accessories.

The winter weather also means the kids have extra gloves, hats and scarves that have a knack of going missing.

Don’t forget to label up their school clothes, gym kit, rucksacks and lunch packs to help avoid the losing items and carelessly discarded belongings.

Simply Stuck provide a great value bumper label selection available in packs of 78 or 148 labels. The packs contain a selection of both stickers and Magic iron on labels.

The useful stickers are waterproof and can be used on a variety of products including pens, note books, lunch boxes, drinks bottles, school bag and shoes. The stickers are available in a variety of colours black, red, pink, blue, green and orange. The first five colours can be printed on a white or clear background.

The easy to use magic iron-on labels can be attached to school uniform using a warm iron and are supplied in two sizes, regular 7mm x 48mm and Mini 5mm x 35mm. The label can be printed with blue, red, pink, green or black text on a white background.

Personalised Name Stickers

It is easy to create personalised name stickers and labels online and your child can choose their favourite icon from a selection of 32 pictures to appear next to their name.

Girls will love the heart, horse, butterfly and bunny rabbit shapes and boys can choose a football, rugby ball, car, truck or rocket motif.

You can enter up to a maximum of 20 characters including spaces for the name with four text fonts to choose from, Comic Sans, Arial, Verdana or Times new Roman.

The 78 label pack is priced at £9.95 and the extra value 148 label pack at £15.50. These packs should see your child through school for a number of years.

Funky Labels - cool & funky – ideal for kids in 2010

For older kids, Simply Stuck provide a fabulous choice of fun colours and icons on a modern new iron-on woven label.

The Woven Packs of 100 and 200 contain a wide choice of label and text colours. They are ideal for labelling outside of sports kit and books. School Lost Property

School Lost Property

At the beginning of the Spring School term last year all the parents at our local school received the following note:-

“We encourage our children to be as independent as possible and show respect for their property by looking after it carefully. However, sometimes various items are misplaced or lost.

Those items that are lost and are named can be returned easily and quickly. Those items that are un-named are put in the Lost Property cupboard. At the end of last term we had over 100 items without homes and we would like to try and reunite as many items with their rightful owners.

The items of the Lost Property cupboard will be displayed at the start and end of every school day for the next two weeks . However, at the end of half term we will bundle up the unclaimed useful items and send them to a number of charitable organisations or add them to our stock of spare clothes.

Of course we would much rather that we return items to their rightful owners. PLEASE ensure your child’s things are clearly named and help us keep lost property down to a minimum.”

A friend of mine hadn’t seen a couple of items of her kids for a while so decided to pop down after school one day. She was staggered to see the amount of clothes that were there simply because they hadn’t been clearly labelled. Jumpers, gloves, scarves and even several single shoes!

Now that the weather is changing most of our children are wearing extra Winter layers so it is even more important to ensure that every clothing item is clearly labelled. We all spend a lot of money on keeping our kids wrapped up warm for the Winter so spending a few pounds on making sure their clothes come home is well worth it.

Iron-on Labels

Iron-on Labels

Well it is nearly the end of the term - just a few days to go now for most schools. Our kids are trying out with their new teachers today which makes you realise that the new term won’t be too far away now.

Whilst not wanting to wish the summer away, why not get organised now before your summer holidays and order your iron on labels for your school uniforms before the rush.

All of our iron-on labels are easy to apply and they stay in place during every wash. Our website over at SimplyStuck is so easy to use and will help you create personalised iron-on labels that your kids will love. Get them involved with choosing their favourite icons and colours, then just add their name.

We have listened to all of your comments and now offer a range of iron-on woven labels just like your Mother used to sew in! We have moved this traditional product into the 21st Century – no need for needle and cotton - just simply cut & iron. And if yours is one of those schools that insist on hand sewn woven labels, then cheat – iron these in & stitch the corners!

As you can guess, the summer holidays are actually a busy time for us, so why not beat the rush and order your uniform labels early.
