Someone else’s shoes – I need shoe labels

It happens from time to time – lost property at school.

My eldest sons goes to school with all the right clothes and then occasionally, comes back with someone else’s.  In this particular instance he has come home with someone else’s shoes – and they are too small.

I’ve spent the past few days texting other parents, talking to them in the play-ground and asking teachers for help. All to no avail.

I suppose, I should have used some form of shoe labels.

The shoe labels cost £2.54 for a pack of 24

Clear Shoe Labels

The labels are waterproof and are clear.  work in  or sometimes know as shoe labels

In teh meantime I will try and track down these errant shoes.

Shoe labels, Left and right

Teaching left and right to a school child is such an important skill.  So much depends on it.  Following instructions, crossing the road, putting on school shoes.   So, to me, it was important that my children understood the difference as sooner as possible.

At Simply Stuck fun is the name of the game. I always believe that kids only learn when it is, relevant and simple.   That’s why I think these shoes labels are so incredibly practical.

You simply peel of the vinyl shoe sticker and place half in each shoe to complete the picture.

When they are in place you child will see a picture of the farm animal.

It helps make getting dressed in the morning, just a little more fun.

They come in a pack of 8 and cost £3.00.

Shoe Labels

Children grow out of their clothes and shoes so quickly, and it can be so frustrating (not to say expensive) when they come home with items missing from their kit bag.

My children recently signed up for after school activities, requiring additional pairs of shoes for their outdoor activities. I’ll want to make sure these are well labelled up, to ensure their return.

Here’s some of our shoe labels that will ensure your kids footwear doesn’t go wandering off:-

Shoe Pack

Shoe Pack

Shoe Label Packs are a God-send. They have everything you need to get all your kids shoes sorted for school, including both their indoor and, outdoor wear.   Your children can personalise their shoe stickers by choosing their preferred picture from a choice of 32 icons to which you add their name of up to 20 characters. The name can be printed in a variety of colours and fonts.

For children who struggle with laced shoes, the pack also includes the innovative Shoe Lace Locker, which does away with knots yet keeps laces securely in place.

The pack priced at £6.00 includes:

As with all the Simply Stuck labels and stickers, the Clear Shoe Labels are easy to use – simply peel off and apply over your existing printed Vinyl Stickers inside the required shoe.

This additional waterproof clear label is not printed,  but it is applied over your printed name labels to protect them.

The Clear Shoe Labels, measuring 11mm x 56mm, are sold in packs of 24 for £2.50 and packs of 48 for £4.00.

For young children it can take a while to learn the skill of tying a secure bow knot in their shoe laces. The Shoe Lace Locker, exclusive to Simply Stuck, is an effective solution which simply clutches the laces in place with a firm and secure hold.

There is no need to tie a knot and no more asking someone to tie their laces when they come undone.

The Shoe Lace Locker is easy to use, available in Black or White and can be purchased for £5.00 with or without a funky sticker (Ladybird, butterfly and football).

LEFT & RIGHTS!™

Left and Rights

Left and Rights

Another concept that younger children take a while to master is that a pair of shoes are different, one for the left and another for the right. It is comical when they walk around with them on the wrong foot. LEFT & RIGHTS!™ stickers are a simple but effective solution to teach children to put their shoes on the correct feet!

Children will enjoy checking out the fun designs , which include a cow, pig, zebra or dog, and it may just help them to get ready a little faster in the morning before school or nursery.

The pack, priced at £3.00, contains eight Left & Right shoe stickers, printed black on white. You simply peel of the sticker and place half in each shoe, which when set together correctly, complete the animal picture.

All the shoe label packs are easy to order online from Simply Stuck. Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest ones!

School Lost Property

School Lost Property

School Lost Property

At the beginning of the Spring School term last year all the parents at our local school received the following note:-

“We encourage our children to be as independent as possible and show respect for their property by looking after it carefully. However, sometimes various items are misplaced or lost.

Those items that are lost and are named can be returned easily and quickly. Those items that are un-named are put in the Lost Property cupboard. At the end of last term we had over 100 items without homes and we would like to try and reunite as many items with their rightful owners.

The items of the Lost Property cupboard will be displayed at the start and end of every school day for the next two weeks . However, at the end of half term we will bundle up the unclaimed useful items and send them to a number of charitable organisations or add them to our stock of spare clothes.

Of course we would much rather that we return items to their rightful owners. PLEASE ensure your child’s things are clearly named and help us keep lost property down to a minimum.”

A friend of mine hadn’t seen a couple of items of her kids for a while so decided to pop down after school one day. She was staggered to see the amount of clothes that were there simply because they hadn’t been clearly labelled. Jumpers, gloves, scarves and even several single shoes!

Now that the weather is changing most of our children are wearing extra Winter layers so it is even more important to ensure that every clothing item is clearly labelled. We all spend a lot of money on keeping our kids wrapped up warm for the Winter so spending a few pounds on making sure their clothes come home is well worth it.
